Air Con Problem Again!

Here is another galaxy with a air con problem!!,

got an x reg 2000 face lift 1.9 tdi zetec, I've not even had this car a year yet and already I'm going to be taking it back for the MAF sensor to be fixed!!, Not only that but the air con unit has packed up. I was wondering whether anyone knew if this is covered by the ford warranty or not? From the sound of it running I'll say the system is undercharged, it's hissing continuously which says that the TEV is fully open, hence undercharged. So would a re-charge come under the warranty or will they bill me for the occasion?

To lose the gas in the first place indicates a problem somewhere, presuming the system was OK when you got the car.

Don't take any **** and insist they put it right and involve customer Services as a back up.

It's worked OK for me so far!!!

Well tried to get a re-charge off them but they still insist that if it's just a re-charge due to a seal failure then they would have to charge me

So the seal failed under warranty and should be replaced under warranty as well as sorting out the consequential loss (ie aircon needs re-gasing). Suppose your oil filter seal failed under warranty and the engine seized as a result - an offer to replace the oil filter but leave you to pay for a replacement engine would not go down very well, I presume.
